With its strong and spicy flavour, Verdone is commonly considered the most exclusive product of Frantoio Gentili. If fact, it is traditionally packaged in an amphora-shaped bottle which recalls the strong link with the culture of the region where it comes from: Etruria.
It is produced here at Frantoio Gentili exclusively from mid-October to the very beginning of November, as soon as the olives get an intense green colour, so to produce an olive oil with more marked characteristics. Chemical analysis reveal a low percentage of acidity (0,2 - 0,4%) and peroxides (4% - 8%). It is particularly suitable as well as dressing of fresh vegetables, for raw vegetables, toasted bread and grilled meat.
